Siblings Luke and Caroline Puckett both visit doctors at Batson Children’s Hospital, but for vastly different reasons.

Caroline was born with a rare single heart ventricle defect called double inlet single left ventricle. She also has transposition of the great arteries and an interrupted aortic arch. At the time that Caroline was born, Batson Children’s hospital did not have a heart surgeon and Caroline had to travel to Pennsylvania to have 3 different open heart surgeries. Caroline also has cerebral palsy. She is able to walk around pretty easily but loses her balance easily and uses a wheelchair for long distances.
